George Herman Ruth should be honored at every ball park around the world in this manner. Hang the banner yet keep the number on the roster.

It was such a great pleasure to meet you and Andy in Lewisburg, Pa on the evening of my wife's LHS 50th Class Reunion August 3, 2019! It will be so honorable to see Babe's #3 retired and we must all push for this to happen...My dad in heaven was an avid baseball fan and could tell you so many facts including ones regarding Babe Ruth!

Linda and Andy, it was a true pleasure meeting you yesterday. Thank you for sharing your beautiful story of your grandfather. And thank you for listening to mine.... I will very much look forward to reading your book! Take care and if you’re ever up in the Northwest Corner of CT, please let Steve and I know. My Best to you both, Jill

No question that #3 should be retired throughout MLB, for all that Babe Ruth did for the game!

Babe's number should have been the first one if it wasn't for him the game would not have been saved and none of the rest would have followed including number 42....that's where it should end..

I had the pleasure of meeting his Grandaughter, Linda Ruth recently at the " Chiller Theatre " event, and all I can say is, to have inspired such a loving and devoted Granddaughter, the Babe must have been truly a wonderful man !

The greatest baseball player that ever lived. By himself he changed the game, made it an international financial success and drew continued generations of admiring fans to the game he loved. Thank God for Babe Ruth.
