There are already 9 discount stores, 5 of which are Dollar Generals, within a 20 mile radius of the proposed location.

We live on Griffith Road, just across the street, and in no way want the quaint history to be disrupted by another discount commerce area.

This neighborhood is 100% residential. Dollar General is ignoring obvious Traffic Safety issues with Cove Road and other issues mentioned here. It is wrong that this one parcel became zoned commercial in the past and DG is using that to force their way using this property. I personally will boycot ALL Dollar General stores if they succeed in pushing their way in.

We don't need another Dollar General. With five in close proximity, how could one more make good economic or community service sense? Cove Road and "The Cove" can't handle the traffic without huge safety risks.

Atlanta has destroyed much of its architectural heritaage...let's don't do the same with this interesting structure. Dollar General only needs a piece of dirt, they should find another and be a better citizen. It will be remembered.

We do not need another dollar general in Pickins county! There are two that I can reach easily if I wanted to shop there and I don't shop at either. I'm concerned about the added truck traffic on the S curves which are already dangerous enough. Plus I moved ro the area right up from this site because of its rural country beauty not so I could have a dollar general up the street. Not only do we not need another dollar general...we do not want another dollar general in this area!!

This is a historic bldg. and should be left alone. This is NOT the location for growth of another Dollar General. We already have enough of these stores that are almost on every corner. How about just hiring more people to run the stores that are already opened, instead of having one register opened and a line down the entire isle waiting to check out.

The whole *point* of living 'up the hill' is to avoid having to deal with nonsense like Dollar General. If I wanted to live near something like that, I would have moved to Atlanta. Moreover, the concerns voiced regarding traffic and safety are *very* well placed. Either traffic to this location will increase - making Cove Road even more dangerous than it already is, or it won't (making the whole project a pointless waste of time.) Either way, the community loses. The current structure is entirely appropriate for the area and ought not to be demo'd.

This is a historic building that should remain as is. We have too many Dollar General stores already in our small town. We need to preserve what is left of the small town character.

We do not need another Dollar General store in Jasper, and especially not in our beautiful residential community!

Neither Cove nor Grandview Road can Han handle that traffic.
