This lovely residential area, near a beautiful church, is the worst possible choice for, of all things, a dollar store! A small general store in keeping with the look of the neighborhood, maybe. But a dollar store? Poor Jasper.

The historic value of this structure far outweighs the need for another commercial enterprise. As noted there are numerous others in close proximity that customers could use if they so desire.

This is a residential neighborhood....no place for a Dollar General Store. Have you got one sitting next door to your house?? I think not. We ask the same courtesy.

I strongly recommend that Pickens County doesn't build another Dollar Store. Please instead think of something more locally owned business or at very least something we don't already have so many of. Please, I truly believe that this is a bad idea.
