Once its puled down it cant be saved..The willesborough hospital between Batchelors & the William Harvey hospital was easily converted into dwellings without being knocked down

I loved this hospital. I had a lot of operations here when I was a child, must better then the William Harvey have a lot of memories for this Hospital

If the Council says No it means NO.
Why do all these housing companies like"Abbey Homes" think they are above the law. We need to protect our heritage. Some super homes have been developed on the old oakwood hospital site in Maidstone using existing buildings, so it can be done. Greed should not come before protecting our heritage!!!

Yes i have worked at Ashford Hospital as a Hospital with my late friend Mr.Ray Brown.Gordon Martin.Taffy Jones.Terry Richaredson. Yes it was a very good hospital to wark there & the ashford hospital was very much better then the W.H.H. wich i do not like the WILLIAM Harvey Hospital.

The benefits of a small number of new houses is far out weighed by the loss of this important part of Ashford's heritage. Abbey homes listed the building renovation at the outset and should abide by the original condition s granted for planning permission of the whole site.

the hospital was a gift to the town. It was agreed to be renovated. If Abbey cannot afford to do it, then perhaps the town cannot afford to allow them to sell the houses at profit on this site.
Permission was granted under these conditions, if they dont meet them, then the contract is null and void, any monies spent on the current buildings is lost.
They would soon change their mind, the council should not go soft on develops who are just trying to make more and more money at the sake of the town

The Kings Avenue Ashford Hospital has a special place in my memory. It must NOT be demolished.

It is a sad thing that Ashford Borough Council are so shor- sighted about pulling down so many buildings in Ashford, I did my training in the the Ashford Group of Hospital's. Ashford, Willesborough and Hothfield in the 60's. I lived in theNurses Home along side of the Ashford Hospital. What a waste.

Why are all our old land marks being destroyed no one says you can't turn it into flats for living purposes why destroy something that is ash ford for profit
