Save this building. Too much of Ashfords heritage is being torn down, making the town very "generic"

Ashford should not lose this historic building - it is a good size to make into decent apartments and I do not see why it cant be saved.

Ashford has suffered enough please do not destroy this historic building. It should be preserved for future generations.

This building is historically significant, has a link with our Queen's father but more importantly was built by local philanthropy and not by one or two people but by a large number of the local towns people. I consider that to be amazing and as an Ashfordian myself I think it eps essential that we retain a building that mattered to our forefathers. I appreciate we can't keep everything from the past and change has to take place but too much of what made this town lovely has been lost already.

Leave some history for then, now and those to come, to remember, wonder over and silently bless those that built it.

For goodness sake leave some buildings with character and history in this town. There have already been huge mistakes in rebuilding projects!
