Please let this tree stand! Like other large trees, it helps to reduce stormwater runoff to our local tributaries of the Chesapeake Bay, reduces greenhouse gases in our atmosphere, and absorbs particulate pollution--all environmental problems for which our society is seeking expensive engineered solutions. This tree quietly does it all for free, in addition to beautifying the neighborhood and reminding us of our history.

The beauty of the neighborhood and our community would be negativitly affected by tearing down such and treasured tree. It has been here longer than all of us and should not be torn down.

Please find an alternative plan to develop the property. The tree is amazing. It was heartbreaking to see two trees in our Penrose neighborhood I often admired destroyed to build new homes.

Arlington County please work with the developer tp emsire tjat tje 200 year old oak tree is preserved in whatever he plans to build on that site. I would be sad indeed for us to lose a healthy have the developer of the property at the corner of 27th Street North and Nottingham St. be required tto save the healthy oak tree at the corner of 27th Street N. and Notttingham Street. t o save the 200 year old tree on the corner of 27th and Nottingham St. It would be a shame to remove a heritage tree.

Please save the 200 year old Oak on the corner of 27th and Nottingham St. in Arlington. Too many historic landmarks are being destroyed in Arlington to make way for big money businesses and homeowners.
