Please save Donna's job. I have benefited over the last 7 years from this group. Having breastfed my 3 children without her and the support from these groups I'm not sure how I'd have coped.

Donna was an amazing breast feeding support worker. She visited and gave me support when my fourth child was born. You would have thought I would have experience, but even after breastfeeding my other children I still had difficulties. (Every child feeds differently). She helped me at an incredibly vulnerable time -my first baby after a neonatal loss, when alongside my Health visitor, they knew how important it was to feed my little boy like I did my other children and that I would need plenty of support. She helped me to get established and I'm still feeding him at 2 years old. What a support, what an investment in his health and my health. Do not underestimate the value on the health, mentally and physically for a new mother to receive this invaluable support. Breastfeeding has long term health benefits, cutting back this support is short sighted - you're investing in the health of future generations! Thank you Donna for your hard work.

Both my babies were breast fed, I couldn't have done it without support. Their work is invaluable to new mothers & babies health. This job is valued, an essential in our communities.

Donna was amazing at helping me with my daughter through feeding, I wouldn't have managed it without her.

You can't have it both ways... You can't want women to breast feed and then not provide them with support to do it. The benefits to breast feeding are well known but it's hard. Support is the key to helping in the important early days and really makes all the difference.

Not the best move to increase breastfeeding rates!

Donna provided invaluable support to me at a pivotal moment in my child's life. It is very shortsighted to remove this post, Donna more than covers her salary with the impact she has, breastfeeding is known to reduce childhood illness and thus reduce the burden on the NHS.

Please please please sign this. Donna is well known in the local breastfeeding community and has helped so many mums, her role is invaluable. She helped me with my son's latch and started this whole wonderful bf journey for me. I am speechless that her role is under threat.

I had so many issues breastfeeding my second baby that without the right support I would have given up. These roles are so important. Please do not remove it

Donna's support regarding all aspects of new motherhood, not just feeding, was invaluable! Please do not loose her expertise.

I wish such support such as this had been available when I had my first son..... appreciate money needs to be allocated appropriately but what a loss for new mums/families should this service come to an end.

Donna's help was invaluable when I was struggling. She didn't just help with breastfeeding, she helped with all aspects of new baby life! I really dread to think what state I'd be in if I hadn't found her. The NHS should be guarding people like Donna with their lives!
