New mothers need this help. I don't know what I would have done without this support if it wasn't available

I remember when this group was first set up. It has achieved so much since those early days and helped so many.

Donna's role is so significant to those mums who otherwise don't have the confidence and encouragement to keep on going with breastfeeding despite their personal choice. Her role is a much needed one as she covers such a wide area and she provides so much. The risk of her role being cut is huge. When considering the early years we know that early intervention is critical. This is a prime example of how early intervention impacts the lives of families. We must keep her role in order to best support those that need it in those early days.

Breastfeeding is a lifeline for all our babies it's not prejudice but a liquid gold. All mums and dads who have had support from this wonderful caring supportive person in all honesty would have given up trying to breast feed their babies without her and the group she supports. As usual if our service shows good results and it has then t gov decides oh well that's great let's cut funding!! When we t gov should be increasing t funding to continue this very very important service and those who work within it......

Taking away the much needed support away from new mums is taking away from the new human being . Cherish the breast feeding support..we can not promote it without providing local support. What is the cost?

Hard to believe Donna's role is being removed. Her expert advice and support is vital to enable more mums to continue breastfeeding.

This job cut is very shortsighted and disappointing.

I met Donna when my baby was 4 days old after an emergency c section I was a little overwhelmed with feeding. Donna was kind and patient and didn't make me feel pressured or guilty for 'not doing it right'. She continued to support me over the coming weeks praising and encouraging my breast feeding journey. She is so lovely and I think if more mums met Donna at the start of their journey then more would continue. Please pass on my thanks to Donna for all her support and do everything you can to save her job and those mums in our area who will miss out on this service. Kind regards, Gemma Bigwood
