As a father and now grandfather I know how vital this role is. New mothers are under a lot of pressure to "get it right " that they need help and support. All this pressure occurs while many are sleep deprived due to the demands of a young child. We should be relieving the stress during those vital first few months not adding to it. Regards Dave

Support at such a critical time in a baby's development is very important. Donna must be allowed to continue providing that support to our community.

I want my daughter and her friends to receive the same care and support with their newborns as I did when she was born

My daughter had this support for her baby recently with great succes. Without support she would have given up.

Another cut to services that will affect women and families and increase the likelihood that corporations benefit from selling baby milk that can be free for those who choose it.

I suffered serious consequences to my health due to lack of breastfeeding support. I met Donna and she is brilliant at her job. Shocking to thing new mums are left hanging in there. Mastitis and breast abscess treatment, not to mention loss of mental and physical health will cost the NHS more in the long term.

Breast feeding for the first 4 weeks of a baby's like is beneficial to both mother and child....but first time mothers need support in this as it's hard....

Our children are our future, help for the mother at the time of a new born is essential. Mothers and babies must have that bit of support available to bring a happy positive result.

This is really important to give babies a good start

I have seen women come crying to their breast feeding support group. Without this support they would have given up and the health of their children would suffer. We must defend these services.

I was a breastfeeding mum in Upper Portslade in the 1960s, and I know from experience that breastfeeding is well worth supporting. I am lucky enough to have healthy adult children and grandchildren, and I want all new mums to have the same excellent help that I received.

Essential support if we want healthy people. Definitely contributory factor in soaring public ill health.
