This is such a vital role! A similar supporter helped me in the initial days of breastfeeding. Now it's 16 months in and I know I'm providing my daughter with a healthy start.

Breastfeeding support helps women do the normal and right thing for their babies. If more people breastfeed it saves the NHS money. We are already at the bottom of the world' series breastfeeding league table, do we need to sink any lower?

Such a vital role - how can they cut a post which has helped so many in those pivotal early days? Breastfeeding has so many health benefits and every mother should be given the best possible chance to succeed in it!

Devastated to hear that Donna may lose her role. If it wasn't for her, I would have given up breast feeding. She turned my and my babies breastfeeding journey around.

This is beyond stupid. Some mothers want to breastfeed. It's not that easy and they need support to reach their breastfeeding goals. More breastfeeding support means more breastfeeding mothers- that's pretty simple eh government?!

Breastfeeding support should be increased. Being one if not the worse country in the world for breastfeeding mothers we should be supporting to change that. BF is better for our children. It's natural and a much healthy way to feed if mothers can.

Breastfeeding support should be encouraged and should be more wide spread with more funding being put in place to ensure our breastfeeding rates begin to rise. There is so much evidence that shows that breastfeeding leads to a reduction of illness in later life therefore saving the NHS money in the long run. This is not a service that should be cut. Yet again when public funding is tight, the first services to be removed are the ones most affecting women and children!

Professional help is vital to support breastfeeding mothers, without it, so many more will fall by the wayside as they listen to misinformed advice.

£1 million per year is being cut from our children's services. A total scandal. Sussex Community Trust and Brighton and Hove council should be hanging their heads in shame.

Support from professionals is one of the key factors in saving many breastfeeding journeys. Services should be increased, not cut.

Breastfeeding support enabled me to bf both my children until the age of 2. This is one of my proudest achievements. Don't take away the same opportunity for other Mummy's out there.
