More support and education is key for successful breastfeeding. Please keep this kind and caring woman in her much needed role to help and encourage woman to breastfeed. We have such a low breastfeeding rate and this will not help with that.

This role is so important and has helped my new mother friend when she had troubles. Supporting mothers with breastfeeding in the early stages is crucial, particularly given the poor bf rates in uk.

Such an important role that plays such a big part in the first few weeks of motherhood. This role was a huge support to my sister and nephew and she wouldn't have persevered without that support and encouragement.

Our breastfeeding rates are crazy low in the UK already - we should have more not less support workers specifically for breastfeeding!

Being able to access local support is vital to women. We already have appalling low breastfeeding rates and this will certainly not help!

Breastfeeding mums need as much support as we can get. Taking away pWorle that can help doesn't help us.

Donna helped me to continue my breastfeeding journey with both my children. One to 2yrs and the ither is still going strong at 8mths. She is an absolute asset to the NHS and she has such an important role. Ive spoken to so many mums / families and her name crops up time and time again. Breastfeeding should be encouraged many mums wouldve given up without this amazing support.

I wish I could get this support, I might not have failed at breastfeeding my two boys and really feel I would benefit from the help now with feeding my daughter.

These services are vital. To cut these will be detrimental to Beastfeeding numbers.

Without the support my daughter and I received in those early weeks where breastfeeding was so hard to get right I would have stopped breastfeeding. It hurt and we just couldn't get it right, my daughter would get distraught and I would end up in tears, They helped and my daughter and I got the hang of it. I breastfed until my daughter was 17 months old and she got that invaluable healthy start owing to the support we got. Please don't cut this support to other mums and their babies. It makes the difference!

All mums need support breastfeeding, especially when there is such a dominant formula culture around.

This role is so important!! It's incredibly hard to establish breastfeeding. This is a job role that no other health professional has the time or expertise to fill, so I'm sure hundreds of mothers would just stop breastfeeding without this unique support.

Women need support and knowledge to breastfeed or they'll struggle and give up. Breastfeeding rates are already very low in the UK!

The help and support I received from my breastfeeding support worker was invaluable! She made me feel normal and took the time to listen to my concerns. With her support I was able to carry on exclusively breastfeeding my son and went on to for 3 years. Please don't remove this valuable resource!
