Please do not cancel Teddy Bear Playschool at ODSS!

This is an amazing program. We have had all three of our children attend. With out a doubt it was a crucial element to their social developments.

Please save this wonderful educational opportunity for preschool and high school students!

Our oldest daughter, Andrea, attended the Teddy Bear Program shortly after is was established. I was a stay-at-home mom, caring for a younger daughter. It was an amazing program and she loved attending. I enjoyed the social aspect, meeting other parents as you dropped off/picked up. My husband & myself were glad to have this program available for us. Today, Andrea is a French Teacher working with the TDSB. This program is very beneficial to the High School students, during their academic years. It provides them with so many skills for their own lives and education. Lets Keep this Program Running!

I was part of this program in high school and now I'm an early childhood educator. It was a very valuable experience in my opinion.

MY SON ATTENDED TEDDY BEAR SCHOOL AND IT WAS GREAT EXPERIENCE AND WITH THE ADJUSTMENT TO REAL SCHOOL. IT IS GREAT FOR TEENAGERS BECAUSE IT TAKES THEM AWAY FROM TECHNOLOGY AND LETS THEM CREATE FUN WITHOUT GADGETS FOR KIDS

I attended Teddy Bear Playschool in the early 90s, and I took the class in 2006. It's such an amazing experience. I hope they find a way to keep it around!

My son attended this program when he was three. He loved it!!! And it was a wonderful experience for him. This was the perfect way for him to transition from an only child at home with grandma to being a kindergarten student in a classroom. I would recommend this program to anyone. My son's 'big buddies' were amazing with him. This is a great program that should continue both for the little ones, and the bigger ones who gain such valuable experiences from attending. And my son absolutely loved Ms. Brusch!!!

My son participated in the program, and gave him such a valuable transition to JK. The "Big buddies" learn so much, and allows for an authentic learning experience. In no way is it a day care. Let's keep kids learning.

My daughter went to the Teddy Bear program when she was 4, and was an ODSS student involved in the program when she was in high school. As an E.C.E. grad and Mom I can say it's an excellent program.

Took this class in grade 11 & 12, 2007-2008. Amazing course!!

I was in the first teddy bear play school class that ran as a big buddy. This course had a profound effect on my career choices as I went on to post secondary in early childhood and worked with children for 20+ years. Even for those who do not enter the field it teaches them transferable skills which can be applied to parenting and makes ODSS unique.

This community has benefitted greatly by this program is exceptional and provides a wonderful service and experience for our high school students. Many traditions have fallen away from society, this program has been a long standing part of the ODSS experience and the community, as such, it seems only appropriate for this tradition to carry on! This program inspired my daughter to work with children. Diana graduates this year. It would be a terrible program to lose!!

Both my girls went to Teddy Bear School, was such a fabulous experience. Have often recommended the program to other parents.

My daughter attended 12 years ago, she loved it. A great Intro into school and a short break for a busy mom. The two helpers she had as big buddy's were great. Everyone wins with this program!

I was part of this program many years ago and I loved it! I still remember my little ones name too and I am not the tyke of person who remembers details like that. Losing this program would be a great loss for our community. My daughter will be in grade 9 at ODSS next year and I want her to have the same opportunity I had.

I am 21 years old and attended this program as a child. I think it is very valuable and would hate to see it go!
