Recently we had the wonderful opportunity of rescuing a few cows from slaughter in Galle Sri Lanka. Which inspired us to create this petition.

Regardless of Sri Lanka being a community with the majority of buddhist worshipers the animal cruelty level and the suffering the animals have to go through is horrendous.Thousands are killed for beef even though the Cow is considered to be worshiped as a sacred animal.

Thankfully many people and organisations has started to rescue them from getting them killed for human consumption.

Many animals have been stolen after rescued, or taken back to slaughter by carers for profit. Which makes it a cruel illegal business.

Sadly these animals go through so much pain and suffering in the wrong hands. They are kept in cruel conditions, unfed without water and constantly abused. Skin and bone many calves are sold as Mutton or Goat as they have no meat in their helpless bodies. Consumers fall into this trap thinking they are buying goat but only if they knew it is the underfed young calves that are brutally slaughtered taken from their mothers. This becomes a disgusting illegal cattle business done openly without any rules, regulations or protection for the animals.

Making the whole act of rescuing animals and giving them freedom pointless and a waste of time and money as the end result being the animals ending up going back to the slaughter.

We are pleading the Sri Lankan government to show Mercy on our precious animals, to make tougher rules, Ban all illegal cattle sales and slaughter.

Mainly we are asking them to Ban the illegal cattle trade.

This petition will be delivered to the Sri Lankan Primes Minster as soon as we get many signatures as possible.

Please help us achieve this goal and most importantly help us save our precious cattle.

Sincerely
