Standardized test performance has NO bearing on school success, teacher performance or future success of students. It's important to be well rounded individuals, not clones who consistently achieve only in math and reading.

Indianola Informal is not Indianola Informal without the Arts. Integrated Arts are a key part of this amazing school and you can see it reflected in their Excellent rating!

Support of the arts is upmost important in the development of children and society as a whole.

The Arts serve as a balance to our lives and affects everyone in every aspect of our lives.

Keep the arts! Critical to helping develop wise, well-rounded individuals.

Successful schools and programs should be duplicated, not gutted. Our school board has said that they would focus on academic achievement. This, and other proposals, prove otherwise.

Arts and humanities are a vital part of every stage of education.

The foundation of this school must remain in tact!

A deal is a deal. Parents and students signed on to this program as it was described. Any reduction of the arts emphasis is breaking a deal the District made with these students and their families. Please keep your word to them!.

Art education enriches our children's lives, develops their visual sense and their creativity. We need to support our arts education programs not cut them.

I was on the original ARTS IMPACT program in the Columbus Public School system. From the beginning, we were assigned to two schools each week only giving us a couple of days to work with each school. So nothing is new and it's always the arts getting cut. Too bad. This country could use a little more culture right about now.

Art saves children and makes better grown ups.

I grew up learning at Indianola Informal for elementary school and middle school and it changed my life for the better with arts as a core part of the curriculum. I would hate for other children to grow up learning there and not experience the arts like I did at Indianola.

I attended Indianola and the integration of arts into regular school time enhanced my overall education and later interest in the arts.

Fostering arts early is important to build diverse and well rounded people.

I hope the Board of Education and the Superintendent will show their support for the Arts and for the students for whom they have chosen to advocate.
