I know that there are many people out there who are in great need of receiving this treatment. However, there is no one more deserving to receive this life-saving therapy then John. He has done so much for his country and his family that he deserve all of our support for the opportunity to beat this invisible enemy. Please consider granting him and his family this wish.

Ridiculous! If somebody is willing to donate directly to a person, then it should be permitted. Nobody should dictate who the plasma goes to! Just like bone marrow or kidney donors. If a match, they can donate directly for a person.
