This will massively affect my working hours and what I get from student finance isn't enough. I need to work, I need income. It will not only affect me financially but emotionally as well. I feel that the stress we are under with added stress of having to do 25% of placement hours as nights is just awful. We have assignments while on placement and although we need to be able to organise our time wisely, our bodies will be constantly adjusting from nights to days and learning/writing assignments frame of minds. Plus I dont feel like this benefits us as I believe you learn a lot more during the day and it is quiet of a night. I get we have to experience nights but 25% of placement hours as nights is a bit extreme. I feel there is no need for this. It is difficult being a student nurse and I feel that this will make being a student nurse harder.

This is quite unrealistic considering we are working to make ends meet already, trying to have some sort of social life and having to do assignments at the same time.

I disagree with this as there is already enough pressure on us as students an to cut our choice of long days for our own flexibility is a disgrace we need to work along side study along side volunteer 30 hours along side try an live a little yet to make us not have long days to enable us to do something for our own mental health inbetween the course days is terrible.

Unfair to decide these new hours without discussion with students, adds extra stress on us students along side assignments and new mentor changes

Imagine working a week of nights every month.. as well as assignments, studying for exams and trying to find time to earn a living for bills to pay! Us students have no support and we are constantly exploited due to low staffing in hospital and this seems to be adding to that; using students to cover their night shifts. Our mental health is suffering and something needs to be done

Guys if we can fill in this survey https://s.surveyplanet.com/oeBes_2lD it's gonna come across better to uni. One of the third year reps has set it up to get feedback off all the cohorts so if you can comment on it then please do!!

03/17 Cohort Can't understand why someone would think that increasing the number of days we work (for free) would be a good idea. Stress levels are high enough as they are.

Many student will have to pull from finishing the course due to above reasons. Their is a need for nurses so why push them away?
