This is an outstanding idea. Creating a more pedestrian style experience on Albert Street will make for a much more friendly environment and it will help all the business. Not only those directly adjacent to the project. Downtown Ann Arbor has gone to a pedestrian friendly approach on weekends, and it's fantastic. It will be fantastic here too.

Cities across the country have used designs like these. The social, economic, and environmental benefits are large.

Let's make it the entire road like we did last year. So much nicer. If Austin can close down 6th Street surely East Lansing can close down Albert.

Great idea! Outdoor life is vastly safer virus-wise. And even though the short-term director of the museum killed-off the famous, long-term Folk Fest, the public still NEEDS large amounts of civic interaction. So, yes, close the streets. People would play instruments, play blu-tooths, (folk) life would happen... This is vastly more needed than car life.

Close the section of Albert Street like you did last summer. Allow cars to get in/out of the lot behind Target and use the lot behind Hopcat.
