I support this project. Additionally iwould request that Albert st. between MAC and the entrance of tbe Target parking garage be closed permanently to vehicle traffice and developed into a pedestrian plaza.

The only vehicles that should be allowed within two blocks of the Albert and MAC intersection are delivery vehicles. Downtown should be foot and bike traffic only - all year.

I’m all for less car traffic and more people spaces, especially in the summer months.

The Barrio team strongly supports this initiative. It will help these downtown businesses recoup losses from 2020 and create an inviting destination for locals.

This is a good start. The next step will be to make most downtown streets primarily for pedestrians and bikes.

Continued efforts for place making is a viable project. Improvements over last years rather stark setting should be encouraged. Small groups outside will be in our future for a while yet!

This is a step in the right direction East Lansing. Without action now, many more downtown EL stores and restaurants will be closing. So refreshing to see action instead of reaction to the complaints of people who don’t even support downtown businesses. Way to go!

The DDA is actively pursuing multiple ways to activate our downtown and pursue placemaking opportunities. This activity along with parklets placed in other locations in the downtown will increase foot traffic to support businesses. Additionally there are several other plans which will enhance the vibrancy of our community.

Hell yes!!! Close the whole street in my opinion and allow it to be a social district
