Pittwater Conservation Zones need to Stay

Please stop developing houses in conservationareas in this age of climate change where there is a growing number of fires,winds tree fall,heat,floods.Who will help people through this?All SES workers,firefighters and mental health services are burnt out from dealing with crisis after crisis and this will not stop now.Populate and build where it makes sense,near transport and in urban zones.

Please, no rezoning of Pittwater We need to protect the remaining wildlife,fauna, birds,reptiles and insects many already endangered. Visiting my backyard are Powerful Owl, Black Cockatoo,King Parrots, Eastern Rosella, Bandicoots, water dragons, frogs and native bees to name a few. Pittwater must remain for future generations to enjoy. ,

This would never have happened under Pittwater Council. More development means loss of trees and biodiversity -it means loss of shade during increasing temperatures and it all adds to Global Warming. More development means more traffic - parking everywhere, and traffic on Bilgola Bends on a warm weekend is already a nightmare.

Leave alone! Stop interfering with nature and life(and lives too!) Love the area!

We must retain green space in & around human development. Otherwise our remaining city wildlife, including insect life, will be threatened

Sydney needs to have these natural lands kept for the flora and fauna that dwell in these areas. We have to much residential development in these unique areas now. So much of our wonderful landscape has already been lost to development.

Vandalous changes proposed. Once detroyed, it will never be recovered.

Any change to this unique area would be a disaster for our state. Currently it is where the sea meets the land. This obviously acts as part of the lungs to our state. If changed for development it will be lost forever.

It would be a tragedy for the local community if develoment was to gain access to these green areas. Please leave these spaces alone.

Please don’t let Northern Beaches Council change the Pittwater Conservation Zones - keep what’s left of Pittwater a beautiful environment.

Please do not rezone this land for residential as once rezoned it is gone for future generations to enjoy

Will the rezoning assist affordable housing / rentals in our community for Essential workers , Disability & Domestic Violence victims - I think not but we will need the diversity of trees & wildlife to recharge in our backyard with limited flexible & accessible community transport.

We want to keep the conservation sites protected, please preserve the zones as they are now.

Council needs to interact with the community better, I have elderly residents not online not on social media, thinking council will write to them about said issues so they can have their say. Council is not doing this leaving people a great number in Pittwater in the dark so to speak.

There is insufficient infrastructure to support the increase in houses and people. This will permanently change the area for the worse. Fewer trees and less wildlife, congested roads and inevitable increase in crime and antisocial behaviour. Developers wet dream dressed up as conservation. Stop it, please.

Please preserve the current conservation zones.

Arrogant disregard for conservation of the valuable environment we have left.

Council should increase focus on how to maintain existing flora and fauna in some areas, rather than how to cram more houses into scenic areas. Is Council’s intention to make the entire peninsula more like Dee Why and Manly? There’s nothing wrong with either of this areas, but they have long lost their environmental importance. It would be irresponsible to overbuild the northern peninsula, where tree canopy and wildlife still thrive.
