Conserve Pittwater landscape and ensure any development respects the established landscape character of naturalness

C5 Narrabeen Group with slopes > 15 degrees should be in the Hazard Criteria. Over the decades Pittwater & Narrabeen ward have been adversely affected by slope instability, landslides & rock falls from the ridges causing extensive property & infrastructure damage.

Keep existing Bilgola Plateau C4 zone! Northern Beaches Councillers: If you think there is not enough environmental sensitive area here, you are welcome to visit ans check it yourself, rather than deciding from your desk!

Protect the fragile and unique nature of this area by not increasing residential areas

So many wildlife use our properties to move around . Through yards and in our canopies. We can’t afford to have wildlife wiped out by a stroke of a pen. The factors are incorrect

The rezoning is arbitrary and pits neighbours against each other which is unfortunate. There has been 'cherry-picked' houses in whole streets earmarked with no rationale which can penalise other residents so I think it has been rushed through.

I say no to the rezoning proposal in Pittwater

The proposed zoning is a corruption of the planning system in favour of development

Conservation zoning laws need to expand their scope to include values that sit outside the old norms that have so often placed the environment a long way second to development. The NBC could use this opportunity to demonstrate its commitment to a progressive enviromental ethos that sets the standards for other councils to emulate.

The tree canopy is vital to our native wildlife and needs to be protected not destroyed.

This is a special place. It must be protected, so that all of us, and the future generations that follow can enjoy it, and thank us for helping to save it.

This proposed rezoning supports developers, damages our environment, and destroys the characteristics unique to leafy Pittwater. If that's not enough just wait for the traffic jams. Council needs to review the criteria as it's clearly incorrect

I lived near there when I was young. Today's and future generations deserve to see it in it's natural state as I did.

Conservation zones make sense in a world witnessing ever increasing diminution of our beautiful natural environment. We've been fortunate to have conserved some beautiful areas so why destroy these and spite future generations.

Stop developers greed and preserve our beautiful area.

We need to protect what is incredibly valuable and irreplaceable.

Biodiversity Corridors, Urban Tree Canopy, Ridgelines and Escarpments must be included as High Environmental Value Criteria. Geotechnical Planning Class: C3 Hawkesbury Sandstone with slope >25 degrees or C5 Narrabeen Group with slope >15 degrees must be included as Hazard criteria.
