People love this area for its beauty.
It is unique, largely due to tree canopies, preserved ridgelines and foreshore trees, and nature reserves all of which create a natural wonderland. How could we even think of diminishing this special place!

I purchased in this area because of the C4 environmental living zones & the beautiful nature next to the water. I do not want rezoning of C4 land to residential. Nor do I want the foreshores changed.

The council needs to understand that the ratepayers do not approve this proposal. If they want pursue it they must undertake a ratepayers plebiscite

If it ain't broke it don't need fixing, it is working for all us residents so no need to rezone to C4 to residential. As we deal with global issues of climate and need for sustainability, you want to take away environmental living to residential, as I said, the environmental living is working fine for us, so why change it. And again, we live in the environment that is northern beaches , pittwater, not that the beaches are in a residential area, we the people live in the environment that is Pittwater, and we love it

I am completely against the current proposal for changes to zoning the Northern Beaches area. The people that live here don’t want this change. We want to protect the limited environmental protection that C3 & C4 zones provide our native wildlife with for future generations. Conservation zonings should be applied to properties where any significant environmental values or hazards are present.
It would be beneficial if biodiversity corridors and urban tree canopy are be defined as of High Environmental Value when determining criteria for Conservation zones.
Please don’t try to make the former Pittwater area the same as Southern suburbs in the NBC. We value our differences and it’s imperative for the sustainability of our wildlife.

This petition is critical in protecting our precious wildlife and the beauty and rich cultural heritage of our local area. Once the planned changes are enacted, Sydney will lose critical wildlife corridors and become just another concrete city like every other city on the globe.

We feared that the forced amalgamation of Pittwater into one big NBC will result in this! So here we are.
After only few years of playing nice this Northern Beaches Council shows its true face. The former small Pittwater Council mostly supported environmental conservation, but the big NBC now bows under the State Government's wish to pack more people into the area while telling us that there is no important environment here to preserve anyway.
We already lost our local hospital, the roads are a disgrace, but large questionable developments are waved through.
The Pittwater area is famous for its unique beauty and leafy environment. It is one of the last green pockets in Sydney. Nevertheless, despite narrow, windy roads and limited access to most of Pittwater they finally want to to open this area up for developers, drastically increase population.
