We need Pittwater Council back. Northern Beaches Council is not trying hard enough to protect our beautiful Pittwater area.

Don' t touch Stapleton Reserve. Our natural environments need to be protected not destroyed. We don't want Avalon to look like everywhere else. Everywhere else needs to look like Avalon.

We do not want any change to our conservation zones as they are already under pressure from increased height limits, overshadowing, traffic, trolley pollution and danger to wildlife.

I have got a concern that rezoning/development will require the removal and cutting down of bushland within area. This will obliterate the native plants that prompte the flourishing of an already struggling environment that is frequently burdened by bushfires. Moreover, it will also eradicate and kill off the native fauna. It will bring increased traffic and noise

Higher density would mean traffic chaos on and off the peninsula. Northern Beaches can not sustain a massive increase in density.

We need to create more infrastructure for satellite cities and stop overpopulating our already heavily populated Northern Beaches. There needs to be a balance for nature and humanity otherwise we produce ugliness and a poverty of life for all.

The underlying assessment process for this review is so flawed that it needs to be completely redone with more valid criteria which protect the natural environment and low density residential within those landscapes.

To our Elected Decision Makers,
Please respect the framework set by those that came before us……respect and nurture our area for the future and our children. There is no reverting back. The idea of removing C3 and increasing R2 during a climate emergency is a backwards step in finding a way to do it better.
I implore our council staff and elected officials to take a cautious and common sense approach to this decision, save the northern beaches from decline.

I strongly endorse the 4 Petition motions above. The unique environment and biodiversity of Pittwater must be protected and preserved for all residents of the Northern Beaches and for the many visitors from all over Sydney, Australia and indeed the World who are attracted here every year. The zoning changes proposed by NBC will accelerate over-development and over -population. This majestic but fragile environment cannot tolerate that. Pittwater's unique character and beauty will be lost.

Much of Pittwater is defined by geographical features and other natural barriers that have helped constrain over-development and over-population. They thus contribute to the preservation of the wonderful open and green spaces, mature canopies and rich biodiversity that are among the hallmarks of this unique part of the world. Equally, it is testimony to the will and passion of hundreds and thousands of residents of Pittwater past and present that this celebrated but fragile landscape has been protected. Any changes in the soon to be revised LEP and DCP, or to underlying Zonings that would encourage or facilitate an increase in population density (with all the infrastructure, traffic, parking and pollution that implies) and which would jeopardise the environment, biodiversity, character and sheer majesty of this area is strongly opposed.
