Pittwater Conservation Zones need to Stay

I love living in Pittwater and want to preserve our environment. We should rule out rezoning of C4 land to residential

This is one of the most beautiful places in the world, with indigenous flora and fauna, to be preserved. We cannot take any more development. Also, the roads are choked already.

Pittwater and Northern beaches are unique and beautiful The environment must be protected . Change must be The unique environment of the Northern Beaches and Pittwater must be protected

The natural heritage and biodiversity of Pittwater desperately requires the appreciation and protection that it deserves.. The plan to further water down already ineffective and inadequate environmental protections across living country in the northern beaches is absurd and abhorrent. All land in our local community area needs urgent and multi faceted changes to the legislative and physical protection and promotion strategies in place to conserve native soils, geology, flora, fauna and wellbeing of our communities (as well as planet!)

Hey Paradise, put up a parking lot!!! Do Councils ever learn to preserve?

Yes just leave us alone.

Please take note of the community disquiet over this issue.

Our roads, infrastructure struggle now. We are full up. We cannot lose anymore of our tree canopy for development. We will lose biodiversity.

Please do not open Pittwater up for further development. Use the space that is already built on rather than destroying our beautiful environment.

Conservation zones were created for a reason and need to stay

There is no need to change zonings from C4 to R2 other than to benefit the NBC for developers. The environment will be the loser.

We need to save our plants an animals. Destroying untouched bushland every time we need new buildings isn't the answer ... our planners and politicians need to act more intelligently ... and with more of an eye for future generations ... otherwise there will be no green space left.

It is imperative that we protect our environment in pittwater and the natural beauty that makes this area so unique. If the zones are changed as per the proposal, the area will lose its character, biodiversity and become like other areas in Sydney.

I agree with the petition's objectives and recommendations. There appears to be unresolved methodological problems with the Conservation Zones Review especially as it relates to the selection and application of conservation criteria and their numerical weighting. Also the overlaying of generalized mapping of conservation criterion on top of property boundaries at the micro level is a flaw. This causes anomolies at ground level when it comes to specific properties that can't be solved via site evaluations when the conservation criteria are wrong. Suggest that Council put the review on hold and go back to the drawing board.

I strongly oppose any changes in zoning from conservation to residential..

Pittwater is one of the most sensitive areas on the Nthn Beaches that needs protection. De-amalgate now!

It’s important we preserve the natural heritage of Pittwater. With Re zoning and further development we will lose what makes this area unique and beautiful.

The NBC Conservation Zones Review is a cynical exercise in rezoning to allow development in previously protected & sensitive areas. I am astounded and horrified at the proposed removal of C4 classifications, they must remain.
