It's Nazi Germany there! BSL doesn't work. You can NOT determine a dogs behavior based on ot's breed. Hold the ownes accountable, not the breed or size.

BSL does not work. You cannot determine a dogs behavior based on breed. We need to hold the ones holding the leash accountable, not the ones on the leash.

Its not the breed it the owners problem that train the aggressiveness in the dogs!
I did not know that Ecorse had banned the pitt bulls.
My neighbor called and complained about my dog because she does not like me!
The only conversation we had was her telling me that she has done petty things like throwing trash in my yard, put dog feses on my trash can because she sees me allowing my dog use her lawn for a bathroom! (Which is untrue my husband seen another neighbors dog go on there).
Instead of banning the breed. Get rid of the people that live there and train the dogs that way.
MY DOG IS 9 MONTHS OLD AND GOT OUT OF THE YARD ONE DAY. 2 POLICE OFFICERS BROUGHT HIM HOME AND SAID HE IS THE SWEETEST PUPPY!!!!
NEVER SAID THAT THEY WERE BANNED FROM THE CITY!!!

Pit bulls are just dogs like any other and the discrimination against them is cruel and wrong. Stereotyping should never be considered acceptable as it is dangerous and harmful. Open your minds and heart and end this ineffective ban. Do your homework and learn about them instead of lumping them together as one big , bad dog.

Pit bulls are like any other breed it is how they are raised the people who raise their dogs the wrong way should be held responsible and if owners take care of their dogs ( shots,tags etc)then they should not have to suffer because other people don't care for their animals it is not fair and this law and ordinance needs to be changed now. The people need to be held responsible not the breed.

It's the owners, not the breed that is a problem. We are responsible owners, looking to buy a home and have to overlook your city due to your pitbull ban, and that's sad because it looks like Ecorse desperately needs the revenue!

It is the "bad owners" that need to be banned. If animals are neglected, abused, roughed up to make them mean, it is a person responsible, not the animal, or a specific breed.

Please do not ban a breed of dog. It absurd. It is proven that the abusive pet owner can turn any breed into an abused, agressive pet. The ban should be on those specific people from having pets. The kitchen knife is not banned because so many crimes are committed with knives, instead they prosecute the criminal who wielded the knife. The gun doesn't load itself and shoot you, it must be handled by a fool to hurt someone. Please don't blame the animal because of bad people.
