I live very close to Pioneertown and have for ten years now. I would love to ensure that future generations of families and sight-seers can continue to visit the unique arts and crafts shops and see the buildings and surrounding landscape preserved. No large corporations or strip malls or paved roads. If people want that, it already exists literally minutes away in Yucca Valley. People come to Pioneertown to dream. Over commercialization and lots of paved roads will break the spell. People need space to dream. That’s why they visit our beautiful desert. A little bit of adventure and simple pleasures.

Is it really necessary to destroy everything in San Bernardino County? Please adopt the overlay, this is an historic area.

Pioneertown is unique unto itself. It is a piece of California history. Gene Autry and Roy Rogers created something magical when the built P-Town. It needs to be protected in its rustic, original form.
