I have been coming to Pioneertown and adjacent areas for 30 years. A few years ago I bought a small home in Pipes Canyon. I love the rural natural environment of the area and love the old character of Pioneertown. I urge you to make thoughtful choices to preserve this unique part of old California history. Don't let chain stores in keep Pioneetwon Willie Nelson!

SB County: Please adopt the Pioneertown Mane Street Historic Overlay. You don't know what you've got 'til it's gone. Thank you.

Having lived in an Historic Overlay Zone, and seen how many historic properties and streetscapes were saved, I hope that San Bernardino County implements the Pioneertown Mane Street Historic Overlay Zone. This street is on the National Register of Historic Places, it's a no-brainer for the County to step up and protect it for future generations.

Make an overlay or admit that you just want this place to be another suburb of LA. No overlay means "Drive on by, nothing special here."

These places are becoming fewer and fewer in America. Preserving this area will only drive tourism. Everyone has been to a McDonald’s and driven down a paved road.

Keep Pioneertown what it is, do NOT allow development! The desert is precious and the fauna and flora need to be protected from greed!
