Please protect Pioneertown for ALL to visit. It is a BIG part of our history. We have other land for gas stations and dollar stories. Keep Pioneertown as is! We took one of our foreign exchange students who was from the Czech Republic, to a wild west show that was there. One of the reenactors was from Germany, and the actor and our student talked to each other in Germany. SOOO More than Americans are interested in Pioneertown.

Changing the character of Pioneertown would ruin any reason for going there. I am strongly opposed to any development that changes its uniqueness. If downtown Palm Springs can restrict development that makes the place worth visiting, it should be possible to save Pioneertown too.

My in-laws used to live in Pioneer Town and we saw the historic value and charm of this place. My wife and I would just be crushed if it's ambiance was compromised by any sort of zoning that would make it reflect the commercial atmosphere of city life as yucca valley now has.

Save this fun and remarkable place.

Things have already changed from when we came in the 90's vs the last year when we moved back to the CV. Lines out the door at P&H and the Saloon??? Crazy! Dont make it some tacky developer-crapped out tourist hole, PLEASE. Viva la Rustica!

As a Palm Springs local and long-time fan of Pioneertown's unique community and history, I support the slow growth plan that emphasizes preservation, sustainable growth, and local, small business focus. We must preserve the region's history and culture and resist outsize pressures from larger businesses that want to capitalize on (and alter) the area's unique charm.

Preserve Pioneertown, Rimrock and the adjacent valley to maintain the existing character and old timey flair. Keep it rugged and original. No chain stores. No strip malls. No new modern normal. Small mom and pop shops. Crenative unique energy. Reliance on self. Neighborly associations. Cold beer. Laughter. Stars. UFO’s

Agree with this proposal 100%, keeping the spirit of the western lifestyle alive. Such a great place to live the dream of riding your horse, and/or hiking the surrounding beautiful open space we have here. Would love it to continue drawing tourists, motorcycle, classic car, jeep groups to Pappy & Harriet's...love the smell of mesquite BBQ. The Red Dog Saloon. The post office, OK Corral. Keeping the equestrian camp open.
