As a UK based Old West reenactor and archaeologist, I know how important it is preserving the character of unique developments such as this homage to the American West. Modern commercial venues will detract from the very thing, the Old West theme, which attracts countless visitors from around the world. We don't visit Pioneertown to grab a Starbucks!

Some things are meant to stay as they are. Please don't turn Pioneertown into some money-grabbing, commercialized version of itself. Leave it alone.

How can it even be considered? This is a charming historic site that is famous the world over. It should be regarded as a cultural landmark rather than a potential money making scheme.

Keep it as a Historical Town without Big Brother coming in to Commercialize it. I raised my kids in Pioneertown, keep it simple so we can pass the torch.

In our eagerness to bring much-needed business to the hi-desert, let us also work toward the preservation of the areas that are the reason people come to visit (and live) here in the first place. Thank you for your consideration.
