High Noon for Pioneertown's Future: Tell San Bernardino County to Adopt the Pioneertown Mane Street Historic Overlay

These zoning changes with negatively and irrevocably change a historic town that’s among the last of its kind. It must be preserved.

The County is not God Almighty. But apparently We the People need to remind them that they are our employees elected by individual citizens to do what's best for communities not for greedy corporations that have no concern about a community except to reap money from it with little return. We have come to so rely on government and corporations for our survival that it has put us in very tenuous circumstances and created more poverty and unaffordable/unavailable necessities. The County seems to think we are their money coffers because what return are our communities getting except reduced services while they're reaping the monies that came into our communities. On top of that many of us do not get our letters answered nor do we get our calls returned for whatever reasons. Please consider standing up for pioneertown to be what it was meant to be historically is a tourist town to remind us of the real life history of this area. They have the right not to be commercialized plus they are able to get to all kinds of places within half an hour so there really is not a need unless it's for comfortable convenience for some. The backbone of this country are the small businesses that families start and they keep because of their good reputation for services and goods. They are systematically being shoved out through economical enslavement by rising costs that should be based on the affordability of the masses not on supply and demand just fine for luxuries but not for financial stability of communities and people. .

Pioneertown is a treasure that needs to be preserved. Please keep don't let it be ruined.

Mane Street needs to be preserved. Let’s honor history. Please do the right thing.

Adopt the Mane Street Overlay and maintain the integrity of this historical desert treasure.

Keep Pioneertowns original visage, once we allow big developer money on Mane Street it wont be too long until it looks like Disneyland. Allowing small, local, hand crafts, and quaint places like the red dog and the bowling alley (right down to the original wood Brunswick toilet seats) keeps the spirit of the history of Pioneertown alive. Lets honor the past, not exploit it.

This is how to restore and preserve the iconic and historic Pioneertown . I strongly oppose turning this residential community of historic proportions into a parking lot lined with plastic dispensing souvenir shops and convenience marts.
