Please make Pine Hollow the base school for the Boulder Creek neighborhood on Victory Church Rd. West Millbrook is an unacceptable assignment for many reasons - the primary one being distance. Thank you.

Would very much like to have Pine Hollow as the base school for Chestnut Oaks. We were led to believe that Sycamore Creek ES would feed the new middle school and supported the school bond that built the school. Failing to do so will certainly undermine support for future bond packages.

We live in Stonebridge, on the east side of Creedmoor Rd, and would like our neighborhood to be considered for this new middle school. We currently go to Pleasant Union and would like to stay with a closer year round option.

Please make Pine Hollow the base middle school for the Chestnut Oaks neighborhood and Sycamore Creek Elementary the base elementary school. Any other schools are double (and some, more than triple the distance) from our home.

I live in the Black Horse Run Subdivision and am the parent of a child that attends Pleasant Union Elementary (YR). Please reconsider letting the PUE community attend Pine Hollow. As it stands, we are assigned to West Millbrook Middle (Traditional) and our calendar option is Durant Middle which is about 11 miles away. I agree with those who've said the dividing line should be Creedmoor Road as it is for high school assignment. Thank-you!

While I understand that Durant Middle is technically closer - 0.2 miles to be exact - most of the students who go to PUE are in northwest Raleigh, exactly the community pine hollow was supposed to serve. PHMS is 2 miles from my home - DMS is 8.4. With traffic and stop lights I am looking at at least half an hour commute to DMS, or a bus ride over an hour for my children. We chose to stay in this community because of the promise of PHMS, and it is incredibly frustrating to know things are changing. When BCES wanted to remain year-round, voices from the community swayed the board. I am trusting that you will hear our voices as well and keep PUE as a feeder school for PHMS. Thank you.

Please make Pine Hollow the base middle school for the Chestnut Oaks community which is 3.5 miles from the school. It is so frustrating that we live in this nice area but are not assigned to the schools within a few miles of our neighborhood.

Please make Pleasant Union Elementary a feeder school to Pine Hollow. Many families that currently have children attending Pleasant Union Elementary have parents that work in Durham. These families have two choices: put their children on a bus for an hour plus or drive their children to school and add 30-45 minutes to an already 40-50 minute commute. Not only consider those west of 50 but those east of 50 in addition to families north of 98. We are all very stuck with our base options currently. Quite disappointed that the proposal has completely changed base school from PUE to Brier Creek when there is such a need right where the school is built.

I have 2 kids attending Pleasant Union Elementary. Currently we do not have a year-round option for middle school and Wakefield is much farther from our neighborhood then Pine Hollow would be. I hope you'll consider using PUE as a feeder school to Pine Hollow Middle.

As residents of the Chestnut Oaks subdivision my husband and I are in disbelief that our children are not assigned to Sycamore Elementary but merely as an option and now shocked and appalled that we are not assigned to Pine Hollow Middle. We have all heard and read about the factors considered when zoning these schools all of which make it even more unbelievable that our children are not assigned to these 2 schools. What happened to the good old days when you went to the same school as the kids you played with in your neighborhood? We have homes in our neighborhood that have backyards adjacent to homes in another subdivision and their kids will never go to the same school but will grow up together in every other sense of the word. So strange and infuriating. Kindly reconsider this decision.
