There are so many other things in this town that need to be done - we do not need to waste taxpayers money on rent that does not have to be paid. Why were the taxpayers not asked about this major expenditure before now??

To me, completing projects and making the town more appealing is way more important than moving the town office.

Why pay more if you don't have to

Just another example of the towns disregard for current residents. You might end up with a nice town office this way but everything around it is done less than mediocre. The way the streets were redone after the water, lack of drainage, tearing up every corner of town so sand becomes a problem and people have to shop vac their lawns, parks that need improvement, the disregard of existing homeowners property when new developments were graded and all the low income housing. What will this place be like in 15 years? It concerns me...money should be spent wisely.

How ludicrous is this. Especially when we are all burdened with the additional cost of the water project.

At the time when people in this town are struggling to make ends meet you guy's want to put more of a burden on the taxpayers. Think smarter not harder

How come I did not know about this move and why does council think a new tax hike is OK. A review of the office space ,that is currently used, should be done and if it has already been done, make it available to us.

Apparently the space they have now has seemed to work well for them. Instead of moving they could take a look at their existing space and make some minor changes to it. Is this a move because they think they want to look more important or all other possible solutions have been tabled and nothing else will work.

Money is better spent elsewhere. Like willow ridge/arbor St park

as a soon to be citizen of pilot butte, and knowing what my taxes are already going to cost due to the water project and the park, i would have to agree with not doing this. My taxes are already going to be higher than what I pay in a city!

Park isn't finished and road on Willow Ridge has yet to be repaired. Money better spent elsewhere.

I'm in agreement with the library idea, I would rather put my tax paying money to that then $4000 a month on rent which they wouldn't even own.Where is the logic in that.

Why increase costs without a need to?

Many times I have challenged the town officials, especially over the mishandling of the water project. There is absolutely no reason, for the town to move into space, that they need to rent. They have the existing space that should be sufficient. Storage can be done at the water treatment plant. That big new building doesn't have some office space? Maybe just maybe there is too many staff!!! Take a survey of other communities and see the staffing level, per person they have, and compare.

When is the spending going to end. Not that signing a petition will do anything as it was the same with the big water plan, a big percent didn't want it yet it went ahead anyways.
