I support for weekend badminton

I've come to play badminton at Pierce College on the weekends on and off for over 20 years, at first coming with my parents, and now coming with my husband. I was looking forward to bringing our young son to learn the sport of badminton here in the future. Please bring back weekend badminton at Pierce College so that we badminton enthusiasts can continue to have a place to exercise and build community.

I have played badminton for 20+ years at Pierce College. This is the place where people from the community, from young to retired people meet and play Badminton. Badminton is one of the best sports for all ages, encouraging coordination, cardiovascular health, and social engagement across generations. We need to keep this badminton program running for years to come.

Pierce College was a great place for my wife and I to play badminton on Sundays to get some exercise before the work week. We'll miss being able to play here, and we hope that the Pierce College administration will reconsider the shutting down of the badminton program.

We play badminton every weekend at Pierce. That was our only place where we could get some physical and mental wellness going. It was a place where we feel like a community where we share the love for the game we all love. Please restart the program.

To the PIERCE COLLEGE authorities, In strong support of this petition: Dear Sir / Madam, Please restore / reopen Badminton at Pierce College. The petition is very well expressed, and reflects all our feelings; yet l am adding a few personal words: I have played badminton at Pierce College for several years, and always found EVERYONE polite, well behaved, and following ALL the rules. The persons in charge of the program — now Tom Du, earlier Mohammad Shariff — have always been very kind but firm, and followed all rules, incl. COVID-19 related, and the various Parking changes; not to mention cleaning & setting up the courts, collecting the money from players for the college, and carefully closing & locking up when done for the night. I cannot understand — or believe — that there is anything on OUR side that would cause the Pierce College authorities to close down the badminton program. As always, all of us are more than willing to STRICTLY FOLLOW any new/ changed administrative rules, however much we may grumble about them :) PLEASE LET US KNOW WHAT WE CAN DO TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN. Please do consider our petition favorably. We are still fervently hoping! Paul

This is a favorite sport that we hVe been playing for the last 10 years that is keeping me fit. One of the greatest pleasures for us is waiting for the weekend to play badminton, for which we are grateful to pierce college and please dont take it away. We are already sad we couldn’t play last week.

Pierce College is one of the best gyms to provide safe and well-maintained for badminton. So i disagree with if it shut down for badminton.

We would like this place to be opened as we and our keeds play badminton here.

This place has always been a fun and welcoming community. Closing it down would be such a blow.
