No matter what one feels about conditions in Gaza, this was a premeditated act of murder of women, children and other civilians. No politics or false equivalence justifies this massacre.

I also do not believe there is a territory called “Palestine” as this was a name fabricated by The Romans, nor a people that should be called “Palestinian”. The Arab muslims currently living on the borders of present-day Israel have no historical claim to the land they are currently occupying or to any place in present-day Israel, and thus no “right of return” to territory to which they are not attached.
There HAD BEEN a compromise in which the ancestors of this muslim population were to be granted territory in 1948–but this was rejected and forfeited as a result of the immediate attack in 1948 on the Jewish state and several subsequent attacks in which the goal was to wipe out the Jews and their state.
