Trained physical therapists are a vital component of animal conditioning and health maintenance. Restricting it's practice to veterinarians and veterinary technicians would be a huge dis-service to animal owners and the animals in their care.

I think the service of animal physical therapists should be a specialty and not necessarily only associated with vets. Certainly working out of a vet hospital shouldn't be banned, but there are many people I work with that are not vets that do a fabulous job in rehabilitation, massage, and other services. As an individual, I should be able to make decisions regarding my own pet and who I take them too.

I love my human physical therapist as does my primary car physician. I would want the same partnership for my dogs.
