Hydropaws Animal Rehabilitation was a lifesaver - twice - for my yellow lab Kenzye who had two TPLO surgeries in less than two years...They were amazing and I highly recommend them to anyone and everyone who needs PT for their furry children.

I write in opposition to the efforts to limit consumer access to physical therapy and wellness services to veterinarians only. Access to the unique skills acquired and honed by experienced animal physical therapists is very important to me. My older dog's last months were improved dramatically by the care provided by our local canine physical therapy team. All pet owners whould have this access, without restrictions. Thank you.

Access to the unique skills acquired and honed by experienced animal physical therapists is very important to me. My older dog's last months were improved dramatically by the care provided by our local canine physical therapy team. All pet owners whould have this access, without restrictions. Thank you.

This will create more jobs for people. I myself am going to school for this very thing. Let physical therapists do there job. Physical therapists are also more reasonably priced. With this economy being the way it is, people are going to avoid the vet as much as possible.

Those of us who love our pets like children would want nothing less than being able to pick our most appropriate provider for their care. The experts who study Physical Therapy for several years as post graduate degrees would be far and away the best resource for rehab of my animal over the veterinary office that neither gets more than a one semester class in rehab, nor would have the time and compassion necessary. Please consider those of us who recognize the difference and have used the PT of our choice, and rethink your decision for the sake of our four-legged children! Thank you in advance for solving this issue in the best interest of the professionals and the consumers

There are brilliant physical therapists that have made animals' lives so much better. Please do not make this opportunity/valuable service harder to obtain. In the end, only the animals will suffer. Injuries cost loving pet owners thousands. Bringing these pets back to a place where there is quality of life and happiness depends on available, affordable rehabilitation services.

Danielle Robbins' PT care of our whippet was extremely beneficial in the recovery of his sprung toe. Animal Physical Therapists like Danielle should be allowed to continue to be allowed to provide care for pets.

Working with a PT using water therapy with the blessing of my awesome vet! This has been a very synergistic relationship & very positive for our injured pup! It's all about the animals, isn't it? Let's allow pet owners decide how to approach the care of their animals.

Our family wants the ability to choose who we see for care for our dog - same as when I want to see my own PT when I'm injured. As much as I respect board certified veterinarians, I also respect and hold in high regard, Animal Physical Therapists who have had more training than any vet I've been to or have access to in my area.

I have had a terrible experience with a vet supervised attendant in canine rehab (not getting to see the rehab vet directly). I would prefer having hands on PT requiring certification rather than requiring vet supervision.

The idea of "direct supervision" of a vet over a PT has me befuddled. Would the vet stand in the room as it was being done or would they do their appts. in the same room in tandem with a PT at work? Wouldn't this be a waste of vet's time thereby discarding PT all together?

Physical therapists provide quality care and maintenance for pets that would not get the same attention to detail from the general practice of veterinary doctors. Please allow PT's to continue and treat our pets/patients with the type of first-rate care they are used to and deserve.

My doctor does not do PT, so why should my vet? Water therapy with our K9 PT has made a huge difference for our elderly dog!

I fully support the CAAPT, and share the concerns expressed by many others in relation to the future of e.g. Orthopedic and Neuro patients if Physical Therapists are not able to continue their successful work in small animal veterinary medicine, just as they do in equine and even human medicine.
