The city of Philadelphia has a fleet of vehicles for the use of city employees. These vehicles are paid for and insured by the tax payers. You and I. We know that with every ticket, with every accident and with every DUI those insurance rates are going through the roof. With every increase in the insurance costs, more and more of our tax dollars are being used so that the privilege continues. In the mean time, our property taxes are being raised again, our schools are still failing and our infrastructure is crumbling. Let's send a message to City Hall! Let the Mayor know that if we need to feel the pinch so does the city. Let overpaid city employees drive their own cars. Remember, they are there to serve, not to profit. Let's remind them of that by signing this petition to revoke the city car program. No longer will they be able to abuse the program by driving city vehicles for personal use. No more will they be able to drive city vehicles while under the influence. No longer will they be able to cause thousand dollars in damage and tax payers cover the cost.
