The PGP 2019 - Canadian Immigration form was suppose to open on Mon Jan 28, 2019 at noon EST. I learnt about the PGP in Feb 2018 and realized that I have missed the deadline. I waited for almost an entire year for today when I would apply for my parents.
I am based in Toronto and on Mon Jan 28, 2019; I was ready since 10am and sharp at noon I started to refresh the PGP 2019 Submit the interest to Sponsor form (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citi...). After 13 min, the page updated stating that they have received enough applications and the form is no longer available.
When I went to @CitCanada their official facebook page, I learnt that there are people who found the message that the forms are closed at 12:05pm EST. Such a disappointing effort from the Canadian Immigration, feels cheated and we are scammed by the government. I urge everyone who experienced the same disappointment and raise our concerns to the government.

I am based off EDMONTON. Have been refreshing the page every 5 seconds and never saw the form available and was thinking the process hasn’t started yet. Finally at 12:05 PM got a message saying it’s closed.
This is not a fair process, how can this possible that the process opens at 12 noon EST January 28 then at 12:05pm same day the application is closed? It takes 10 minutes to fill-up the form. How can 5 minutes reach 20,000 applicants and it will take 10 minutes to fill-up? This is not possible at all and it is not fair.
The sign up was like buying tickets to a popular concert. A waste of time as it was sold out before you even had a chance.
Need to fix the process doesn’t work like this if you have entered the form without completing right information it should not be submitted as on website it says if information is wrong you can correct it that means people fill out wrong information as fast as they could and submit it to get the application number that doesn’t work like this
This is unfair i cannot sponsor my parents, i have been trying from 2017 with the lotto system, i have to wait another year for my luck and my parents.
Frustrated waked up so early to prepare everything for the application but the time of closing their forms was just not right. Scammed I think not fair.

I've been refreshing the page since 11:55. But all I got is a big disappointing update of closed application. It has been 3 years I'm trying to get my mother to live with us. I'm paying big amount in tax every year but I believe it's not enough.
