鑒於日出康城商場4樓某西餐廳打出寵物友善旗號，但餐廳範圍內不但有多種對寵物有毒的植物，更於今年六月疑引發毒死狗隻事件。事發至今三個月沒有主動釐清事件真相，更遑論改善環境，因此令人非常擔心到訪寵物的安全。
我們並非要求企業能杜絕一切犯錯可能，只希望企業若犯錯後可承擔責任，還受害者一個公道和及時改善以避免悲劇再次發生。但三個月過去我們沒有看到涉事餐廳應有之承擔，只有諸多推延，並沒有全面檢視餐廳環境安全。
特別今次發生的並非一個小疏忽，一條生命的離去都未能夠引起該餐廳關注，證明他們只有寵物友善之名而無寵物友善之實，很大機會只為牟利運作，亦很大機會再引來另一單血案。我們極不希望於此次事件後，意外再次降臨係其他狗狗身上，再有其他家庭要承受這種傷痛。
現我們發起聯署，目的希望大眾正視此事帶來的訊息，特別是家中有寵物的各位：
1. 要求餐廳向公眾交代為何於餐廳各處擺放對寵物有害的植物、有沒有使用殺蟲劑/除草劑、有沒有指引保護到訪的寵物
2. 事件引起大眾不安，要求餐廳正面交代事發後的調查
3. 商場管理選擇租戶時，應把商戶操守列入考慮條件之一，避免有任何操守不當紀錄之商戶經營。商戶包括品牌以及其經營者。
4. 希望政府當局關注寵物權益，立例保護香港寵物寶貴生命，亦讓執法者有法可依。

既然開放寵物友善，政府當然有必要亦有責任去監管，唔係的話所有餐廳或者場所都可以用寵物友善嚟到吸引顧客同增加生意。寵物都係命，都要負責任的，希望唔會再有一啲咁不負責任既’寵物友善‘！

It is not acceptable that there are plants with toxic which could harm the doggies
Strongly concerned about dog poison incident, please investigate this incident and give an open disclosure!
Animal protection and rights in Hong Kong are running behind compare with others. Regulation and law shall be enforced to animals nowadays
