I oppose the transitional housing for the numerous reasons listed on this petition.

Putting these complex’s in residential neighborhoods is not consistent with zoning and quality of life expectations. Do not allow this to continue and spread.

This is an inappropriate location, with strained resources for water and fire safety.

Why on earth is it a good idea to put so many of these facilities all in one small area of one county.

This is a huge threat to our community and rural county. The risks are greater than any benefit. This is going to be a detriment to El Dorado County and residents.

There should be community meetings before these homes are allowed. In this case in particular traffic could be a huge problem.

Fair housing is intended to protect residential use. This is a medical treatment facility right next to our rural housing community. Want to know if El Dorado County issued a certificate of occumpancy to the new homeowner on Fernwood Way in Shingle Springs. Community should be informed if they are going through a special permitting process. There should be no overnight medical facilities in residential neighborhoods.

Please do not allow such an enormous concentration of rehab facilities to be insidiously created throughout our community! Please help to protect our safety.

Fully agree with the citizen demand for more oversight, regulation, and control by the county over such housing.

Makes no sense to have these in Shingle Springs. More services are available closer to Sacramento.

I have empathy for these folks, but my concern is that the facilities will not be monitored adequately. These are family, residential neighborhoods. It just doesn't make sense.

Before I sign this, who is the author of this petition. I read the statements but I would like to know if the authors true intentions are to not provide such housing in our county, at all, or... if their intention is for the county to build in a more concrete as well as transparent infrastructure before proceeding with such projects? I think having such rehab homes is important, but only if assistance is being provided to those in the home. That assistance would include evals, meetings, and coaching. Not just a free bed. But, if the county plans on doing that, who is doing it? At the same time, we can't just pass the buck on to the next county and kick out those who need help. We can't deem them to far gone for help. That's calous, heartless, and irresponsible. I understand that I am coming off like I have a bleeding heart, but the truth is I think a private, not-for-profit could do a better job than the county at managing such a project, the problem is I don't see any such program stepping up to take the reigns. So, tell me, are you advocating for a better way to get help for these people, if so do you have a solution? Or are you just a person not wanting to hear and see the broken world around them?

All it does, brings crime to our neighbor hood. Absolutely against it.

As a parent to young children I strongly oppose the added risk these developments/facilities pose to our children, families and community.
