Mr. Tweet was my 5th grade teacher about 15 years ago, his commitment to the community has been consistent and only grown over time. He is one of the last of my teachers who have stayed in any position with the district and I’m only 25. How dare the district remove one of the few people willing to dedicate their lives to this community.

I support this! Dillingham needs him, the kids need him for their future. Listen to their motto, kids first. He makes that a priority.

I urge DCSD to keep Nick Tweet as principal. If he is pushed from this leadership position, we will have officially lost faith in our administration. It would be the last straw.

I Tweet for the Principal. Give him a contract and let him serve in Dillingham. His family deserves this stability. Tweet is good for our students and staff.

The school board has a TERRIBLE track record of hiring administrators as of late. In the past 2 years they have supported hiring 3 administrators who weren’t able to make it the end of the 1st semester before being asked to leave or changing their role. While fighting hard for 2 years not to hire a born and raised Dillingham alumni.
We now have a superintendent who has been in Dillingham for less than 8 months and is not renewing an administrator who has been in Dillingham since 2006. With no reason behind the decisions. This is a travesty and will ultimately hurt the education of our student, the retention of the staff, and leave our community not able to trust the school administration and school board members who support this TERRIBlE decision.

Nick Tweet overcame the last incompetency we had from the previous superintendent and kept the school running in grand fashion. The elementary school is our base. The teachers there are very invested in their students. They are willing to deal with the high cost of living and other challenges in Dillingham because they want to work for Nick and be part of a great elementary team. Taking away their leader is shameful.

Nick Tweet was a great administrator to work for. His kindness and compassion is evident in the relationships that he has with the students and DCSD. It would be a mistake to take Mr. Tweet awake from the students that he serves.

I am a fifth grader in DES. I like Mr Tweet as our Principal because if there is a problem then he listens to the whole story before he makes a decision and he is very fair. He comes into the classroom and reviews our work, he knows us all by name which makes me feel good.

He was my 5th grade teacher i may not live back at home in dillingham but i have nieces and nephews who go to school back at home and i would love for mr. Tweet to be principal!

I highly recommend Nick Tweet as the Dillingham Elementary Principal. I have had him as my 5th grade teacher going to elementary school & have seen first hand how he played/plays a major roll in how children learn & how he can figure out a way to make things work if any & all parents have concerns. We want him to stay the principal for the Dillingham Elementary!

We are here for the kids. Not for administration to throw a fit because of issues. Get over the high horse and let us all work together for the kids. After all that is the reason why state of alaska hires people to serve our community and our kids not to watch administration or employees have spiteful attitude towards each other. If he is let go, kids will retaliate and we do not want that to happen.

You guys are getting rid of the wrong teachers. Getting rid of teachers that have been around Dillingham and around all the local families is just not good because they know how dillingham goes how the kids react to certain things. New teachers come in to dlg thinking they own it thinking they can change us, it’s just simply not right. Mr.Tweet was around since I was in kindergarten and I’m a freshman in College.
