MK6 Jetta GLI 6-manual 2.0TSI CBFA engine code; 60,000 mi. Ridiculous and occasionally dangerous rev-hang at virtually any rpm >3000. This is a serious and annoying problem, fix it and I love the care and buy 2 more!

This is so annoying, silly and potentially dangerous in my 2012 GLI that I want to return the car to VW. I've had it tested at 3 different VW stores, which insist it's "normal behavior." Well it's not, and it's unacceptable.

Hello, I have a 2010 Volkswagen CC 2.0T manual transmission and I also suffer from rev hang. This makes my car very unjoyable to drive I've paid for numerous repairs trying to fix this issue but nothing seems to have solved it. I love my car but if this problem persists I think it's time to move on from Volkswagen.

Same problem. Dealer said I need to disassemble entire transmission and would not be covered under warranty. This is the 4th vw we own, and will likely be the last.

This is the 26th car I have owned in my life and I complain every time I drive it, I'd rather pay to replace a cat converter than have some stupid emissions related stuff on my car that holds the rpms up when shifting gears. This will burn up clutches left and right and harder on the motor and makes you look like a fool driving with people that just don't know. I lost the car but don't feel I should have to spend money for another clutch and flywheel to get rid of this.
