This would help population, over crowded spaces, and would benefit the animals that get away from home and come back pregnant, and it would help pregnant animal mommas to not have babies in the extreme heat and have their young die out there.

TNR is proven effective while impounding and killing cats is not only cruel but does not work. Aggressive TNR will stabilize populations and stop the crushing volume of kittens no one wants being born on the street no matter which side of the cat debate you sit on.

We have got to stop the killing of ferals that Animal Control rounds up to be killed on a near daily basis. We desperately need a barn cat/shop cat program for ferals that are not part of a managed colony. TNR works!

We need a feral cat-friendly city here in Las Cruces. This means we need TNR! TNR is the most humane way of dealing with feral cats to ensure we stop more cats from being born. I’m tired of seeing perfectly healthy cats being killed at the shelter because animal control is hostile toward these cats and continues to fight against a more progressive policy. Join the overwhelming majority of citizens and shelter staff who support TNR for Las Cruces!
