I'm no longer in northern VA, but in a place (Oregon) that values park space, the ecology, and oxygen. Hopefully, VA continues to look after those things, too.

I fully support the conversion of this property into a county park. We need to save our green spaces that are rapidly going away.

To the Board of Supervisors, Fairfax County: Please expedite the transfer of the land parcel known as the Fairchild property in the 6300
block of Richmond Highway located on approximately nine acres of woodlands, to the Park Authority so that the former Fairchild property will be designated a county park and it's woodland nature and natural habitat be preserved. That action would also honor the terms of the will that conveyed the land to the county for use as a park. Thank-you. I am a resident-owner in the Montebello community on Mount Eagle Drive, about 1/2 mile from the Fairchild property.

We need to preserve open space, esp. if wooded as this is.

I am in support of the Board of Supervisor's immediaty transferring the donated Fairchild property to the rightful recipients, the Fairfax County Park Authority.
Thank you in advance for being a trustworthy Board of individuals whom the County, especially Mt. Vernon & surrounding voters & homeowners, can expect to be just in their handling of this request.
Thank you for your service and leadership in our community.

A park in this very congested area would be a huge asset to the entire community. We need all the undeveloped land and trees for the benefit of the citizens who live near here.

More parks, more trees, healthier air quality, healthier environment equals healthier, happier people. My car's temperature readout drops by degree increments in the hot summer months between Route 1 and Beacon Hill Road and the GW Parkway near the Potomac River. The leafier it gets toward the Potomac the cooler the temperature becomes. The more trees we keep in retain and maintain in the Southern Fairfax county area the better.
Please, preserve our woodlands.
Please follow the Fairchild's request of designating their gift a park land.
