The GP service is at breaking point and needs to be properly resourced. Action needs to be taken immediately before the service collapses. Government must act now to protect and value GP's.

Our GP service is essential and needs to be funded properly to ensure continued health care for all.

We live in a rural area in the S.E. and our Doctor is excellent. She works long hours in a busy practice which covers a large area and has a large list of patients. She has a family and does her best to keep the practice going, nothing is too much trouble and is always kind and cheerful. The Government and Minister for Health should visit one of the practices in a rural area to see for themselves that G.P's are struggling to keep going. Every thing seem to revolve around the Dublin and commuter belt, nothing exists beyond this belt and no one seems to know how to put things right.

GP's are more than just medical doctors, sometimes they are a life-line for people in need of personal support, whether emotional, psychological or physical. Let's not let the government get away with indifference.

A nations health is its peoples health and GPs; especially rural ones, are fundamental in its maintenance.

Tipperary is blessed to have top quality doctors servicing the needs of our people. It is unacceptable that their future be put at risk.
