As someone with personal knowledge of this fairgrounds, I believe it will be big enough to house the national show. I think setting the West nationals East of the Rocky Mountains is unfair to all herd that live West of them and want to attend.

As a small Nevada herd attending nationals has been unattainable due to the days of travel and the cost that comes with. I fully support this proposition and the chance for the west coast to be represented!

I have shown locally for only 2 years and have a super small herd. I will never be able to attend a National show with the current trend of being in the Midwest to east coast. It is so prohibitive both financially and time wise. I can't expect to be accommodated every single year, but once in a while I want to do more than wish I could have made it to nationals. Please strongly consider the Oregon location.

Salem Oregon would be a great location to provide access for people living in the western side of the United States to be able to attend the National competition for 2027.

This will be the first time that several people on the west coast will be able to participate in Nationals as it hasn’t been anywhere near us since the last one that was done in Redmond. Please consider those on the west coast more, haven’t been meeting the needs when it comes to DHIA & updating. The least that can be done is allow us to participate in Nationals without always traveling to the east coast!

The closest planned nationals is a 5 day drive to Louisville. It shouldn’t be there every other year.
Nebraska is a 3 day drive.
I’ve attended as an exhibitor from Oregon as far away as Harrisburg, we on the West Coast just want a rotation closer to us!

Many of us on the West Coast cannot travel across the country with our herds to show at Nationals. This gives us a chance to participate, when we wouldn't otherwise be able to do so. National Show should represent all areas of the country, and having a show on the West Coast makes it equitable. The facilities are more than adequate for the event.
