Petition to the ADGA Board of Directors to Approve the 2027 National Show Proposal for Salem, OR
- We, the undersigned ADGA members, respectfully petition the ADGA Board of Directors to approve the 2027 National Show Proposal for Salem, Oregon, as recommended with an 8–0 vote by the National Show Long Range (NSLR) Committee.
The established National Show rotation schedule designates 2027 as a Western Region year. The Salem, Oregon location is the only proposed venue that fulfills this regional requirement and provides a viable National Show site for the members who live in the Western Region.
Members in the West only have access to a National Show nearby once every four years, and maintaining rotation integrity is essential for fairness, accessibility, and balanced opportunities for all members across the country.
We acknowledge that the facility prohibits sleeping in the barns. We fully accept this rule and are prepared to utilize the available on-site camping options, including RV hook-ups, water/power spaces, and tent camping within convenient walking distance of the barns and show arena for sleeping even if we usually sleep in the barns
The Salem venue offers the space, infrastructure, logistics, accessibility, and exhibitor-friendly layout necessary to host a successful and professional ADGA National Show. This proposal ensures that the Western Region receives its rightful place in the rotation and that all members are afforded equitable access to the event.
By signing this petition, we urge the ADGA Board of Directors to vote YES on the Salem, Oregon proposal for the 2027 ADGA National Show.

As a junior, I would only be able to show or attend a show on the west coast. I don't have the money or my parents have the time to take enough time off work to travel across the country. Please make the show accessible to kids like me on the west coast.
As a former director, 2023 NS local liaison, and repeated NS exhibitor I implore the board to give the west coast a relevant location that we as west coast residents are willing to support.
As someone with personal knowledge of this fairgrounds, I believe it will be big enough to house the national show. I think setting the West nationals East of the Rocky Mountains is unfair to all herd that live West of them and want to attend.
As a small Nevada herd attending nationals has been unattainable due to the days of travel and the cost that comes with. I fully support this proposition and the chance for the west coast to be represented!
The closest planned nationals is a 5 day drive to Louisville. It shouldn’t be there every other year. Nebraska is a 3 day drive. I’ve attended as an exhibitor from Oregon as far away as Harrisburg, we on the West Coast just want a rotation closer to us!

There are many modern options available to monitor animals in the barns without physically sleeping near the pens. Let's go to Oregon for the ADGA Nationals 2027!
