This woman is a bias, racist individual. She does not belong in teaching at Boston U or any other institution. How can BU keep her on and call this equality? How can SHE demand equality and yet expect to remain a professor when other whites have been terminated for other racial remarks?

There are far too many people like this molding the minds of your young. It would be great to one day reach the point where we don't see race. With people like this, that will never happen.

Boston University, How can you justify hiring Saida Grundy when she openly displays an abhorrent level of hate and discrimination against a people based on color and sex?! Why do you condone this?!

Pulling my alum support to the institution. All for college debate, not for protected hate rhetoric. If a white prof said he refused to spend in black stores he'd be fired.

Though racism in America is alive and well, we have to look at all forms of racism. Grundy is not fit to teach at a university that encompasses all races due to her public outburst degrading a whole race and sex.

Her deep rooted racist beliefs will be very apparent in her classroom teaching. BU shouldn't be surprised if more students file complaints about her. She does not follow BU's code of teaching ethics and they now know it. So by hiring her, they condone it. This reflects poorly on BU and the fact they will not enforce school policy. I will NEVER send my kids there!!!

Ms Grundy's position is a sad state. She has demonized an entire group of people without bothering to know them on an individual level. She is also only capable of seeing the world through her own lens. Slavery has existed since the beginning of time. Although I and my children look caucasian, we are of ethnic jewish descent. Jews have been enslaved and slaughtered around the globe since biblical times. I do not walk around hating on people that have descented from each subgroup of jewish slave owners or perpretrators of jewish genicide. I and my sons also get to be the direct, inappropriate recipiants of this woman's misplaced hatred.
People of african descent also were slave owners in the United States and other countries. They also sold their fellow africans into slavery. Furthermore, there are individuals on US soil of african descent who cannot claim that any of their african ancestors were enslaved on US soil, our current president comes to mind - so they have no business joining in on this herd hating mentality.

The hypocrisy that must exist in order for this professor to maintain a job at BU is astounding. Apparently BU is promoting racism in order to overcome racism...?

"I am happy with how Boston University's President reacted in his letter yesterday," he wrote. "Firing Doctor Grundy would have been the wrong choice, since everyone has a right to be mean spirited or even hateful. We published the story to expose the bias and factual problems with modern humanities classes, which are many, and common at colleges across the country." Yet white people get fired for just this!!!!! Double standard much?
