Racism.

after finding out about the comments that Saida Grundy made and wrote for the public domain to read is insulting, and has no room in our education system. Especially when the institution that pays her to fan the hell fires of bigotry says or does nothing.

She is obviously a racist and does not care that she was offensive.

Why would the college allow her to stay and teach this kind of hate to its students? It is shameful.

Hateful, plain and simple.

Racism is racism is racism, regardless of how "educated" the alleged bases for it or the color of the racist's skin. Termination is a rather drastic step, but the BU administration should definitely condemn her remarks and the way she made them as inappropriate and racist.

A white person would have been fired INSTANTLY for writing such drivel about a person of color. But we all know that colleges are rife with liberalism and, by extension, double standards and hypocrisy. Nice job, BU, of hiring a professor so dumb that she doesn't even know to keep her silly views private.

bigotry, of any kind, should not be supported or tolerated.

Bigotry knows no color, this is obvious to me by her tweets and has little to do with the "current events" going on in our Nation. Why didn't the media pick up on the race of the 6 Baltimore Police Officers: 3 white, 3 black? Would the arson and looting have still happened?

Black woman can be racist also. The double standard has to end.

This woman is a racist and a bigot, and should be terminated immediately. Coupled with that, her tweets also displayed an unacceptable ignorance of human history and the slave trade. How on earth could she have received a Ph.D.?! Shame on Boston University for accepting such a deplorable human being as a member of its staff. If this were a white person, they would already be out on their ass. End the double standard of racism now.

Ignorance comes in all colors and genders. Racism is just that. Racism.

If this was a petition about a white person making the same exact comment about black college males, this petition would likely have hundreds of thousands of signatures. When it is a black person making a comment about white college males, eh... only a couple hundred objections. If I ended up with her as a professor, I would drop her class like a bad habit of holding hot potatoes and lead balloons.

You can't fight bigotry and hatred with more bigotry and hatred. There should be zero tolerance of hateful and irrational ideals at an institution of education.

racist. If a white prof had said this about a different group of students, he/she would be GONE without question. No more double standards!

This woman is a racist and sexist... if she were a white male saying the same things about black males or black females for that matter, she'd been fired a long time ago. I am sick of this kind of Hypocrisy. One standard for EVERYONE should be enforced across the board, or not at all.
