Its only alright to be racist if you're not white. This is not the path to creating a truly equal system, and this kind of thinking being taught will only further it.

To categorize all whites, especially males, as racist because of their skin color is deplorable. No one should be employed in the education of future leaders with that attitude.

From the petition supporting her: "racism is a system of oppression in which people of color are denied political, economic, and social power." It should read: "racism is a system of oppression in which people of any color are denied political, economic, or social equality." Ridiculous!

Racism exists on both sides of the fence as demonstrated by Professor Grundy. She is quite adept at biting the hand that feeds her.
Professor Grundy is capable of more thoughtful dialogue on race relations. Perhaps, her next place of employment will benefit from the wisdom she gains when no longer a faculty member at BU.
