it isnt reverse racism, its simply racism. I am a white male. I am proud of how far our country has come, and I am saddened by how far it has to go. On all sides we have a long way to go. White men, for the most part, have awakened to the past and current plight of minorities. There are a few who are bigoted and closed minded. No doubt this lady has run into a few. But she cannot lump us all together and say that us, as a group, are a problem. Well of course she CAN but that would be racist.

Terrible double-standard from BU; she should not be teaching our children.

Had this been a white professor this petition would not be necessary. If she were white and made anti-black tweets her employment would have been terminated. Shame shame BU

Her comments only further divide us as Americans. Very sad she is so profoundly openly bigoted.

If she was white and had racist remarks, she would have been fired already! How is she able to get away with this? Typical

As a BU alum, I am saddened that the University would willingly hire a professor with such racist views. I will not be pledging any more donations to the University until Saida Grundy is shown the door.

Either Grundy or Brown (preferably both) must go! Rob Brown only has his personal interest in mind. A "do nothing" president. Other heads of uniiversities would have a swift response and a decisive action. Impeach Brown!

This is racism, period. It does not matter from which race it comes from and is directed to, it is still blindly discriminating against a group of people.

Not appropriate for an instructor to make comments like this. If I stated that "black males are a problem" my place o f employment would show me the door.

THIS is what's wrong with America...a double standard that if flipped on its head would have any white person fired, flogged, finished in academia. Didn't know that you can now get a doctorate in racism!

Bigotry in any form is unacceptable. Dr. Grundy did not even apologize for her ignorant comments, rather said that those offended are uncomfortable with inconvenient truths. Hate speech is hate speech.

This Professor is offensive in her statements and more so in her clueless justification for her overt racism. Where the racial situation reversed then the hue and cry would be non-stop. Racism is not the sole purview of white people (I am not white BTW) and its sole victims are not just blacks. There can be no monopoly on racism whether as proponents of or victims of. If this person is not immediately censured and her position terminated, then the academic credibility of this University should be in serious doubt. Would they allow a similar posting by a white person in regards to black people? Racism will never be solved unless we understand it is to be applied to ALL races not just white vs black. This can only be acceptable when you allow academics to post something like "I was in a black neighborhood and was scared" or "Why are all the recent black 'victims' of police 'violence' criminals?" and then say "well thats just academic research"..if you do not then the sincerity and credibility of BU is in question. If we wish equality then her punishment ought to mirror a white person's for similar remarks about blacks- TERMINATION of employment.

Racism has no place on BU's campus. Please do not allow Saida Grundy's hatred to run amuck in Boston.

Racism is a horrible thing regardless of its source. Employment should not be still an opportunity for Ms. Grundy.
